Kashida embroidery

Kashida embroidered bags: Kashida embroidery is a weaving technique common in western India. Our range of sling bags have been sourced from rural rajasthan; they are tailored by women and the hand work has been done by skilled weavers. Look out also for our cushions and throws (Living Space) with Kashida work on them.

There are NGOs in the region that work on the welfare of weavers across the Great Thar Desert of Rajasthan in Western India. The livelihoods of several women are dependent on these traditional weaving, embroidery and sewing units.

Jute Bags: In our store are sourced from Jeva, a women’s collective in Kerala, India. They are sturdy and trendy and can be ordered in big quantities for workshops and events.
